A three state driving and scavenger hunt tour starting from Otto’s BMW near West Chester, PA and finishing up at Chateau Bu De Winery near Chesapeake City, on the Eastern Shore of Maryland

Event Registrar
Vintage Events Co-Chairs

Krisitin and T Lad Webb have put together a three state tour though the coastal plain region which will finish up in late morning at the Chateau Bu De Vineyard and Winery at the historic Bohemia Farm near Chesapeake City, Maryland. Upon arrival, we will park together and participants will be able to partake of wine tastings, tours and a mid-day meal at their leisure.
Here are the details:
  • Drivers and Navigators/crew gather at Otto’s BMW in West Chester, Pa starting at 9:00 AM;
  • Otto’s BMW will provide a delicious and plentiful continental breakfast with enough time to shop for BMW swag in their new shop (they do have some VERY nice items!)
  • While at Otto’s, participants will sign waivers, receive their rally instructions, participate in a pre-drive briefing and group photos between 9:30 and 9:45 AM
  • Participants will depart no later than 10:00 AM for the Rally
  • Folks should have clipboard/pen for ’navigator’s ease’ of writing answers to Rally *clues*, etc; camera phone is OK; but not needed for rally. Bring sharp eye’d navigators to look for the clues along the route.
  • The estimated time en route for the rally is about 1.25 hours; There are several Wawas along the route where cars may stop for restroom break if needed with no penalty since this is not a timed rally.
  • Expect to arrive at Chateau BuDe in Chesapeake City by 11:15
  • Plenty of marked parking upon arrival at the Chateau and we will try to keep BMW folks parked together.
  • Please keep in mind that NO outside FOOD or beverages may be brought on to the Vineyard/winery premises; so no picnics baskets, etc. Water is OK!
  • They have several food options, and of course, wine from which to choose. It is suggested that all ‘ralliers’ research the website: to review the menu and price list to check interest of staying there to eat and imbibe. This site will also will give history of the Bohemia Manor Farm from which the vineyard originated.
  • This website will also list the menu, food prices and cost of the tasting. It is a lovely venue and if weather cooperates we should have a wonderful time walking around the grounds which includes several acres with antique buildings left in ‘ruin state’ for charm and down to their Bohemia River landing.
  • Folks can choose to eat lunch there, only taste wine or simply enjoy the ambiance of the Manor.
  • We will try to gather in one location and we will tally the rally scavenger hunt sheets to determine a winner. Prizes to be awarded.
